Body Thinking/Body Moving Program  ~ 6-8-Week Program For Kids Of All Ages


Good Habits Start Young! Help Your Child Succeed.                                                                            

Body Thinking/Body MovingYour child's body is their instrument. How they choose to coordinate themselves for any activity can be one of poise, ease, and skillful movement or it can be with excessive tension and uncoordinated effort. Does your child have poor posture? Are they experiencing neck or back tension? Do they sit for long hours at their desk or with a computer hunched over? Are they interested in dance, music or acting?

The Alexander Technique is a simple approach to looking at how we 'use' ourselves affects how we feel and perform. Creating awareness of postural habit patterns in any activity will not only help kids of all ages feel better with less tension and stress but perform better in whatever they're doing. 

This 6-8 week program is based on the Alexander Principles, movement, awareness and making healthy choices. Designed for after school enrichment programs in grades K-12th grade.

The class aim:

  • Positive Postural Habits when Learning (sitting at the computer, doing homework, other movement activities)
